How It Works

How It Works:

HAVE A HORSE FOR LOAN, SHARE OR OWNERSHIP TRANSFER?

Become a Diamond Member (£5) or Diamond Plus Member (£20 per year) (Diamond Member Form)

Create a log in and log into your account.

Submit your horse.

If a loan, share or ownership transfer please include a rehoming fee payable to rehome my horse by the successful applicant taking on your horse. The rehoming/loan fee we believe goes some way towards showing financial ability and commitment by the successful applicant.

RMH will screen all listings before publication. Further information may be required.

RMH will manage the dialogue between the parties using “Chat to us” box on the horse’s profile page, allowing for accountability and transparency.

All serious interest will be required to be a Diamond member or Diamond Plus and submit an application.

The horse owner can reject any application if they consider the applicant unsuitable.

Once an application has been made, It is the owner’s responsibility to ask further questions and to arrange viewing to ensure suitability and match. RMH should be kept informed of progress.

Follow up visit can be arranged if required. It is recommended that the owner follows up references supplied and carries out a home check. RMH can arrange home checks, check references and carry out CCJ checks for additional fees.

If the parties agree to proceed, RMH then puts together a tailor made rehoming agreement. The rehoming fee payable by the person taking on the horse is to be sent directly to RMH when invoiced before the horse is in their care.

Advice from our experienced equine team is available at all stages of the process.

After 6 months and at intervals thereafter, RMH will contact the new home to see how things are going.

LOOKING FOR A HORSE?

Become a Diamond Member (£5) or Diamond Plus Member (£20 per year) (Diamond Member Form)

Pop to the horse listing page to view horses using filters if required.

If you see a horse you like and have further questions send a message via “Chat to us” box. (These messages are managed by our team) no contact details are shared until an application is in place.

When ready to be considered for a particular horse please do submit an application. All applicants must be Diamond Members or Diamond Plus Members.
Once an application has been made and processed, the two parties can liaise further discussing horse and home to offer. If deemed appropriate then visits are generally arranged, RMH should be kept informed of progress. An application does not guarantee a visit.

Follow up visits and vet examinations are recommended. RMH are unable verify any of the horse’s details displayed on the website. It is for applicants to carry out detailed inspections and trials as required. It is also recommended that the owner follows up references supplied and carries out a home check. RMH can arrange home checks and contact references for a small fee. It is also recommended that any potential home is checked for CCJ’s as horse welfare issues do arise due to lack of stability and funds. All applicant must be willing to be subject to the above.

Before rehoming date if a loan, share or ownership transfer the rehoming fee is payable to RMH by the successful applicant.

Advice from our experienced equine team is available at all stages of the process.
